the only real thing that could conceivably prevent ian (who really deserves it, man) from winning the one direction contest thing is a girl who has gotten the vast majority of her clicks by posting misleading links and other such bullshit.
if you’re like me and you spend your entire day refreshing one direction-related tags, this is That Person. this is the epitome of Those People.
i mean, like, this is a thing for the fans, right? and fans are, to varying degrees, the ones who make up fandom, right? and it’s ridiculously poor fandom etiquette to attempt to manipulate the people who live vicariously through their corners of their social media platform of choice, right?
ian’s clicks have come directly from people within and close to the fandom, whether it be avid 1d fans or people who just want to see ian win this even though they couldn’t really care less about 1d. either way, it’s genuine Internet People coming together for something/someone they Believe In and doing it fairly and that is goddamn wonderful.
it would suck to see the former situation win.
what the other contestant is doing is also against explicit contest rules, but the short time between the contest’s end and the concert itself would probably render any successful attempts to get into contact with the people running it null. so.
just please click, okay? if you have time on your hands, you can click every fifteen minutes. if you don’t, every bit of effort put towards this is appreciated.
my offer to kiss the faces of any people who reblog the link still stands.
I don’t really know this person but I follow them and you know what I want to pay it forward kinda thing. so you know what? CLICK THE LINK AND BE A GOOD PERSON. HELPT HIS PERSON ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS
